    Houston Community College has earned one of the Houston region’s 2022 Best Place for Working Parents® designations. The recognition comes from Best Place for Working Parents, a national collaborative and network of businesses across the U.S. dedicated to providing support for working parents through evidence-based strategies. To earn the distinction, employers must respond to an online assessment that details their support of family-friendly policies.

    Marian Magdaniel always wanted to express herself through fashion and the creative arts. She loved drawing, painting, violin, guitar and design, and especially believed that fashion was a great way to make something “come to life on your own.” Now, the 28-year-old Venezuelan-born, Houston-raised fashion student at Houston Community College’s Central Campus has learned that her multiple artistic abilities have placed her in rarified air.
