Work Better Together with Microsoft Teams for Business

This training introduces the small business owners and entrepreneurs to Microsoft Teams through live demonstrations of Teams features including chat, meetings, calls, sharing files, co-authoring, integrated apps, and new features. Participants will leave the training with resources to continue learning about how to effectively communicate, collaborate, and customize their workflows with Teams.

During this training, participants will learn how to:

  • Communicate through calls, chat, and meetings in Teams.
  • Collaborate in Teams using integrated Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Enhance their work experience and boost their business with the latest Teams features.

 

Get to know Microsoft 365 for business

Learn how to get more work done, from anywhere on any device with Microsoft 365 and Windows 10. Discover how industry professionals leverage Microsoft 365 to communicate, collaborate, and improve productivity across the team and organization. 

Microsoft 365 for Business is an integrated solution. More than just apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Microsoft 365 is a productivity cloud that brings these apps together with powerful cloud services, device management, and security to connect people and information in an intelligent new way.

During this workshop participants will learn how to:

  • Get more done with Microsoft apps, Outlook, and OneDrive across devices.

 

Cyber Security 

During this workshop, participants will understand and explore:

  • The types of business data that may be at risk of cyber threats and attacks.
  • The main types of business cybersecurity attacks, what to do if your business has been hacked, and how to minimize damage.
  • The cybersecurity benefits of cloud management and the capabilities of Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Windows 10 to build a better business cybersecurity management practice.
  • Elements of analyzing business cybersecurity risk through the Microsoft Security Assessment Tool.

 

Grow Your Business with LinkedIn

LinkedIn Learning’s library for each learning path also includes collaborative courses, all taught by industry-expert instructors, allowing individuals to move through content and demonstrate their learning with a certificate of completion. 

By the end of this workshop, participants will have:

  • Investigated best practices for using LinkedIn Pages to build their brand.
  • Created a plan for leveraging a LinkedIn company to help them grow their business.
  • Explored LinkedIn’s vision and received an overview of the platform and its relevant SMB tools.

 

Sway & OneNote

Microsoft OneNote L100. In this course, attendees will learn how to capture their ideas, notes, and stay organized using OneNote, Microsoft’s digital notebook.

 During this training, participants will learn how to:

  • Understand OneNote integration with Microsoft 365
  • Access OneNote through different modalities (e.g., web, desktop) and Microsoft Teams integration
  • Use Notebooks, sections, and pages to organize notes and projects
  • Learn how to use Reference features
  • Expand on ideas using Inking and Media
  • Understand basic sharing options for collaboration using OneDrive and SharePoint Online

 

OneDrive

OneDrive for Business and Microsoft 365 make it easy to access, share, and collaborate on files from anywhere.

During this training, participants will learn how to:

  • Learn why OneDrive for Business is a reliable place to store your important personal work files
  • Examine the advantages and convenience of having all your data available to you at any given time with all the different ways to access your OneDrive
  • Keep your data constantly backed up with Automatic Backup to OneDrive.
  • Maximize your local storage space with Files On-Demand
  • Securely share your files by configuring Access Management and Settings

 

Power Platform (Automate, Bi & Flow)

The Microsoft Power Platform is more than the sum of its parts. Connect them together—and to Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and hundreds of other apps—and build end-to-end business solutions. 

Power Apps: Power Apps allow everyone to implement custom and powerful business solutions. It is a no-code/low-code platform for building apps that builds off concepts such as formulas in an Excel spreadsheet.

Automate: Attendees taking this course will learn the basic elements of Power Automate, including an overview of types of flows, how to create flows from templates or from scratch, and understand how these can be integrated with existing systems and applications like Microsoft Teams

 

Key Steps to Starting your Business

Introduction to starting your own business.

This virtual workshop will cater to individuals who want to start a business on the side while leading busy lives that could include full-time jobs and family obligations. The single 2-hour session will guide participants through brainstorming potential business ideas, creating the outline for their business plan, and considering how to plan, market, advertise, manufacture, and deliver a product or service.
