On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Houston Community College System (“HCC”) will hold a special election to fill a vacancy for the HCC Board of Trustees position in geographic district II for the unexpired term through December 31, 2025.

 

The following candidates filed an Application for a Place on the Ballot for the May 7, 2022 HCC Special Trustee Election (Listed by ballot position and in accordance with the candidate’s name as it will appear on the ballot)

Candidate Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • ​Must be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election, as applicable
  • Must not have been adjudged by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
  • ​Must have not been finally convicted of a felony without a pardon or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities
  • Must have resided in HCC District II for at least six months and in the State of Texas for at least 12 months immediately preceding the filing deadline described above
  • ​On the filing deadline described above, must be a registered voter in HCC District II
