HCC to host Scripps regional spelling bee

When: Saturday, March 23, 2024, 9:30 a.m.

Where: Houston Community College Missouri City Campus, 1600 Texas Parkway, Missouri City

What: Since 1925, children across America have participated in school spelling bees with the hope of making it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee. On March 23, scores of Houston-area middle school students will converge at HCC for the HCC Scripps Regional Bee with the winners moving on to the national Bee May 26 in National Harbor, Maryland. Houston Public Media is again a media partner with HCC for this year’s Bee.
