Dear HCC Family:

 

I assume the role of Chancellor of the Houston Community College (HCC) System with a keen sense of purpose and gratitude to the HCC Board of Trustees for the confidence placed in me indicated by their appointment. I welcome the opportunity to work with our outstanding HCC faculty and staff to help effect positive change in the lives of students and the community. My commitment to HCC and our students is as strong today as it was when I began in 1985. I am proud of HCC’s legacy and excited about its future.

 

As Chancellor, I will work with our trustees, faculty, and staff to build innovative programs, remove barriers, and expand opportunities which help all students achieve their goals. We will collaboratively make HCC more accessible by simplifying our processes, improving our support services, and harnessing the power of technology and innovation to ensure that every student succeeds. We will boldly face challenges and remain the educational leader and partner our community needs.

 

This is the beginning of an exciting journey and I seek your support in propelling HCC to higher heights. Our collective knowledge and experiences will take us there and keep us soaring in the days and years to come.
