Sheetmetal Helper
The sheet metal courses will provide students with an introduction to the materials, tools and techniques used in the sheet metal industry as well as types and uses of hand, layout, and cutting tools along with bending and forming machines. Students will learn about various types of pipe and fittings, principles of soldering roof flashings, gutters, down spouts, and sheet metal duct fabrications. Emphasis on principles and type of fittings for radial line development are discussed and factors that influence bend allowances and calculations necessary for determining proper bend allowances.
