HCC Central Student Spotlight: Edgar Rodriguez

HCC Architectural Design & Construction Center of Excellence is proud to highlight Edgar Rodriguez, an outstanding student in our Electrical Department.
Over the past several semesters, Rodriguez, who is enrolled in the Electrical Technology program, has demonstrated unwavering dedication and motivation in his pursuit of a career in the electrical field.
“I chose this program because of my interest in the electrical Industry and earning this degree would be beneficial for my career,” he said. “I chose HCC because it offers affordable tuitions as well as very flexible class scheduling that fits well around your everyday responsibilities.”
He exemplifies the qualities of a committed and passionate learner, consistently going above and beyond to deepen his knowledge and refine his skills.
Known for his responsibility and strong work ethic, Rodriguez regularly arrives two hours before class and often stays late to ensure full comprehension of the course material.
“I feel very comfortable learning with the instructors at HCC,” he said. “They are knowledgeable, dedicated and determined to give the confidence to be ready and successful in the electrical field.”
His proactive approach not only advances his own learning but also benefits his peers, as he frequently assists fellow students with projects and assignments.
Currently working toward becoming a licensed electrician, Rodriguez actively seeks mentorship from industry professionals and continuously strives for excellence in all areas of his training.
His enthusiasm, perseverance, and commitment to mastering the trade are evident in every task he undertakes.
Among his accomplishments, Rodriguez has earned an OSHA-10 Safety Training Certification through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), and he continues to achieve success throughout our Electrical Programs.
“I want to express my sincere appreciation to my instructor for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be part of this program,” Rodriguez said.
