Why did you choose HCC Coleman College?
All my older siblings attended HCC, and I followed. It provided me with an affordable option for college and a program in healthcare.

Why did you choose your program of study?
The Pharmacy Technician program offered a quick path to a profession in healthcare that I could build on or use as a stepping-stone to further my career in healthcare.

What did you like best about your college experience?
What I liked best was the way college prepared me for my future as a healthcare professional and a healthcare educator.

What did you like best about your program of study?
What I liked best were the lifelong relationships that I built here at HCC. I’ve known Dr. Jeff Gricar (dean) and Ms. Liz Wilroy (retired) over 30 years, and I continue to utilize them for knowledge, support, and guidance now as colleagues.

When you were tired, what motivated you to push forward?
My motivation continues to be those who sacrificed and opened doors for me, from my parents to those who don’t even realize they've inspired me.

What advice can you offer to help other students succeed?
My advice would be to dedicate yourself to your studies and keep showing up. Always remember why you started.

How did your education change or improve your life?
My education empowered me with knowledge, skills, and opportunities, and it provided a future for my sons and daughter-in-law who have also now entered the medical field.
