Why Did You Enroll at HCC Coleman College?
When I moved to Houston, several students recommended HCC Coleman College to me. I discovered Coleman offered the Surgical Technology program I was passionate about, and it felt like the perfect fit.
Why Did You Choose Your Program of Study?
I’ve always been fascinated by surgery. Learning that there’s more to the operating room team than just nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists made me eager to become a surgical technologist.
What Do You Like Best About Your College Experience?
I’ve really enjoyed the hands-on learning during clinical rotations. Watching myself and my peers grow over these two years has been incredibly rewarding.
What Do You Like Best About Your Study Program?
I love that every day in the Surgical Technology program feels like another step toward making a real impact in the O.R. The fast-paced environment and constant opportunities to learn keep me motivated and excited for the future.
When You Are Tired, What Motivates You to Push Forward?
My family is my greatest motivation. I always remind myself that my children deserve a mom they can be proud of and look up to.
Advice to Help Other Students Succeed:
Believe in your ability to grow and improve every day. Stay committed, even when the journey gets tough. Success comes from persistence, self-belief, and a willingness to learn from your mistakes.
