Dr. Terry Kidd appointed to Board of Directors for the National Council for Continuing Education and Training

Dr. Terry Kidd, Dean of the Division of Extended Learning, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET). As an NCCET board member, Kidd is the chair of the committee on innovation and strategy and will work toward bringing innovative and leading-edge training to workforce development and lifelong learning.

Kidd brings more than 15 years’ experience in education and nine years in workforce development to his role as Dean. He has published 15 peer reviewed papers in tier one academic journals and nine books related to technology management, informatics, online learning and instructional technology. Dr. Kidd was also recently named to the boards of the National Council of Workforce Education (NCWE) and Alpha Sigma Lambda, the oldest and largest national honor society for non-traditional students.

In 2016, Dr. Kidd was the recipient of the Houston Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award, the 2016 Outstanding Alumni Award from Texas A&M University, the 2018 William C. Hines Distinguished Service Award from Alpha Sigma Lambda and the 2018 Tom C Ahles Award from the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals.
