Feb 25, 2016

A group of Houston Community College Northwest STEM club students visited the Houston Forensics Science Center and met with the scientists in crime scene analysis, forensic anthropology, firearms and digital forensics.

Dr. Jennifer O'Neil, Faculty Advisor for the club organized the trip so that the students learn how these professionals use the scientific method to analyze evidence and crime scenes.

The team also toured the controlled substances and latent fingerprint labs and met with the scientists who work there.

Who knew you could become a firearms expert with your biology degree? Amazing place and as always, amazing students!
