The Office of Entrepreneurial Initiatives at Houston Community College helps future business owners across the Houston Metro area achieve their dreams of starting or improving their own business.

Those dreams have already become a reality for dozens of Hispanic business owners who credit their success to the training programs at Houston Community College. More aspiring entrepreneurs will have the same opportunity starting Tuesday, September 16, 2014 through a course sponsored by Mercantil Commercebank at the Spring Branch campus.

“It is our mission to educate, promote and support economic growth in the city of Houston, “said Adriana Gonzalez, President and CEO of Camara De Empresarios Latinos De Houston (CELH).

The Houston Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence is a ten-week class which will be taught entirely in Spanish. It is designed for multinational and native-born small business owners who want to learn how to start a business and/or take their business to the next level.

“We are delighted to partner with Camara De Empresarios and Mercantil Commercebank,” Maya Durnovo, HCC Chief Entrepreneurial Officer said, “and we look forward to growing this dynamic and effective program.”

Participants register for the class through Camara De Empresarios Latinos de Houston, one of the most active business advocates in the city. To learn more about the program call Jennifer Holmes, Director of Entrepreneurial Initiatives and Community Relations at 713-718-6797 or email Jennifer.holmes2@hccs.edu.
