IDEAStudio Opens Spring 2026 Training Schedule

This spring, IDEAStudio, the makerspace at Houston City College's West Houston Institute, is offering free tool trainings for members looking to build new creative skills.

Sessions run from February through April, with eight different trainings available including 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, CNC embroidery, desktop CNC milling, electronics, and wood and metal shop essentials.

Each training gets you certified to use specific makerspace equipment during open hours, so you can come back and work on your own projects anytime. Classes are free and open to all current IDEAStudio members, and membership is available to any HCC student, faculty, or staff member.
