The Logistics Technician Certification Program is a fast-track course that prepares students for the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) credentials aligned with the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC). Students gain comprehensive training in logistics and supply chain operations, including foundational and technical competencies needed for entry-level industry roles.

The program prepares students for entry-level positions in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and industrial plant maintenance. Students gain hands-on training in machinery, equipment operation, and workplace safety to support a variety of manufacturing and maintenance careers.

The Manual Machinist program prepares students to manufacture precision parts used in industrial, medical, and commercial applications. Students learn to operate manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, saws, and grinders to cut, drill, and finish metal components. The program also emphasizes blueprint reading, precision measurement, and quality control techniques to ensure accuracy and meet industry standards.

The AAS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology trains students to become skilled technicians and CNC operators capable of working in a wide range of manufacturing industries.

The Certified Patient Care Technicians program area prepares students to assist doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings. The course prepares students by covering essential exam content and building the knowledge needed to confidently pursue industry-recognized project management credentials.

The Project Management Basics Certificate program provides students with an overview of the essential elements of project management and the project management life cycle. Students learn the stages of project selection, planning, managing, and controlling, along with key frameworks, practices, and techniques used in the field. Upon successful completion, participants receive a digital badge from HCC recognizing their achievement.

The Real Estate program at Houston City College provides students with the knowledge and specialized skills needed for a wide range of careers in the real estate industry. Students can prepare for roles in residential sales, commercial real estate, mortgage lending, inspection, and property management.

The Real Estate Sales Agent Licensure program area is designed to meet the educational requirements set by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) for obtaining a sales agent license. The program provides comprehensive 30-hour courses in real estate principles and practices, preparing students to submit licensing documentation to TREC and pursue a career in real estate upon completion.

The Sheet Metal Helper program provides students with an introduction to the materials, tools, and techniques used in the sheet metal industry. Students learn the types and uses of hand, layout, and cutting tools, along with bending and forming machines. The program covers various types of pipe and fittings, principles of soldering roof flashings, gutters, downspouts, and sheet metal duct fabrication. Students also learn principles and types of fittings for radial line development and factors that influence bend allowances and calculations necessary for determining proper bend allowances.
