  3. Public Safety Telecommunicator - 911 Dispatcher

    • Continuing Education

    The Public Safety Telecommunicator – 911 Dispatcher program prepares students for careers in emergency communications and public safety support services. Students receive academic instruction and hands-on training in radio operations, emergency call-taking, dispatch procedures, incident documentation, and communication skills for Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS agencies. Approved by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), the program prepares students for the Basic Telecommunicator Licensing Exam and entry-level employment in emergency dispatching and public safety communications.

  11. Sheet Metal Helper

    The Sheet Metal Helper program provides students with an introduction to the materials, tools, and techniques used in the sheet metal industry. Students learn the types and uses of hand, layout, and cutting tools, along with bending and forming machines. The program covers various types of pipe and fittings, principles of soldering roof flashings, gutters, downspouts, and sheet metal duct fabrication. Students also learn principles and types of fittings for radial line development and factors that influence bend allowances and calculations necessary for determining proper bend allowances.
