The Houston Business Journal has named HCC Chancellor Margaret Ford Fisher, Ed.D., as the Lifetime Achievement Award winner in its 2026 Women Who Mean Business Awards.

HCC Chancellor Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher joined regional leaders on April 15, 2026, at Partnership Tower for the Greater Houston Partnership’s (GHP) Future of Healthcare program, a conversation focused on the evolving healthcare landscape and the growing need for a strong workforce pipeline in Houston.

HCC took center stage at the American Association of Community Colleges National Conference in April 2026, where Chancellor Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher presented on the Challenges of Urban Community Colleges and highlighted HCC’s leadership in student success, workforce development, and innovation.

Across the U.S., the future of work is being reshaped at an unprecedented pace. HCC Chancellor Margaret Ford Fisher, Ed.D., has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Western Regional Chief Executive Officer Award by the Association of Community College Trustees.
