Faculty Academy and the CCE’s Community of Practice “Teaching for Impact: An Exploration of Service Learning in Action”
Curious about service learning but not sure where to begin? Is it volunteerism? Internships? Community projects? How do faculty design assignments, partner with organizations, and assess student learning? Join us for an engaging, cross disciplinary exploration of service learning and how it can enrich your courses. Hear from faculty as they share how they have integrated service learning into their courses and explore how you may do so too. Whether you are simply curious or ready to redesign a course, these sessions will give you practical insight and a supportive space to ask questions. Faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to participate.
- The group will meet the Fall 2026 semester the last Friday of the month beginning September 25.

Looking for way to hone the skills needed to be an effective leader in your community? Take this free, online training and earn a Certificate of Training in Leadership and No-Blame Problem Solving. You will have the tools you need to get informed, get involved in your community, and make your own decisions about public issues. This course is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community!
