  2. Surgical Technology

    • Workforce Training

    Students in the six-semester Surgical Technology Program at Houston City College attend lectures and gain hands-on experience in the lab at Coleman College for Health Sciences. The program begins each fall and prepares students with the practical skills needed for surgical technology training.

    This program prepares students for a wide range of translator, interpreter, and localization specialist positions across corporate, nonprofit, medical, legal, and technical fields. Graduates gain the linguistic, cultural, and professional skills needed to provide accurate, high-quality translation and interpretation services. Students may also use their training to launch their own freelance business and work independently with clients in diverse industries.

  4. Welding Technology
