Houston City College (HCC) Career & Transfer Services successfully hosted a Bollinger Shipyards Hiring Event on June 15, 2026, at the West Loop Campus, bringing together students, alumni, and industry professionals for an afternoon of career exploration and networking.
The event gave attendees the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from Bollinger Shipyards, one of the nation’s leading shipbuilding companies, based in Louisiana. Participants explored available positions, learned about industry expectations, and gained insight into career pathways within the maritime sector. Many attendees also took part in on-the-spot interviews, creating immediate opportunities to move forward in the hiring process.
The event saw strong participation, with students and alumni connecting with recruiters, asking questions, and exploring careers in shipbuilding and related trades. Their professionalism and enthusiasm helped make the event a success.
