Why did you choose HCC Coleman College?
HCC Coleman College was the only choice. I knew Physical Therapist Assistant was a very competitive and tough program, and l wanted that challenge.
Why did you choose your program of study?
I chose Physical Therapist Assistant because I love the science and the mechanisms of what it takes to help someone get better in whatever capacity of their life.
What did you like best about your college experience?
I liked building great, long-lasting friendships with my classmates.
What did you like best about your program of study?
Believe it or not, lab sessions. I liked being able to put my skills to the test, even though I was very nervous. It took me out of my comfort zone to think quickly but skillfully.
When you were tired, what motivated you to push forward?
My family and friends kept me motivated. When I felt mentally “done,” my sister would always say, “You’ve got this, soldier. Keep pushing.”
What advice can you offer to help other students succeed?
Don’t give up. Keep striving every day. Your best self is yet to come.
How did your education change or improve your life?
I wouldn’t be where I am as senior physical therapist assistant or site coordinator of clinical education without the education I received from HCC Coleman College.
