Engineering Technology
The Engineering Technology transfer program at Houston City College allows students to complete the first two years of a four-year engineering technology degree before transferring to a university. The Engineering Technology program prepares students for applied, hands on careers in technical and engineering related fields. These programs focus on using engineering principles to solve real world problems, emphasizing practical skills, laboratory experience, and the use of industry tools and technologies. Graduates are prepared to transfer into bachelor’s programs in engineering technology or applied engineering disciplines.

Programs
Civil and Construction Engineering Technology - Specialization, A.S.
The Associate of Science in Engineering Technology is designed for students planning to transfer to four-year universities to pursue a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology. The program provides a solid foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals while allowing students to specialize in Civil and Construction Engineering Technology. All coursework is transferable and aligned with partner university requirements, ensuring a smooth transition. Graduates of the program will be prepared to continue studies leading to careers in applied engineering fields such as product design, manufacturing, construction, electronics and computer systems.
Students may earn an Associate of Science in one of the Fields of Study below by completing the requirements for the chosen specialization. Students must complete 60 credits to complete the Associate of Science degree in one of the following fields.
