Drywall Installation and Repair

The Drywall Installation program area provides hands-on training in installing, finishing, and repairing drywall systems. Students learn skills in framing preparation, seam finishing, patching, applying texture, and the safe use of hand and power tools while developing proper installation and cleanup techniques.

Institutional Certificate (IC)
Education track: Continuing Education

The course is designed to provide hands-on experience in drywall installation, including rig drywall on frames, ceilings, apply moldings, cover seams between drywall sheets and pieces, patching and applying ceiling texture. It also focuses on preparing students for safe use of hand and power tools. Students learn and practice how to install drywall safely, apply primer and finish, and clean using the techniques.

Prerequisites: HS Diploma/GED recommended, 17 years of age

Supplies: Tools, book, materials required for students in the program
