Get to know HCC alum Jason Loring
Jason Loring chose to pursue his education in Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Houston City College where he felt a sense of fellowship and camaraderie with both his instructors and advisors.
Jason Loring chose to pursue his education in Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Houston City College where he felt a sense of fellowship and camaraderie with both his instructors and advisors.
“After looking at the curriculum and the material, it just felt achievable to me,” Jason said.
In 2020, he was encouraged by his instructor to attend an upcoming career fair. To prepare for the career fair, Jason visited the Career Services office at the Stafford Campus and received resume and mock interview assistance. He successfully secured employment with a company in attendance.
After graduation in 2021, Jason remained connected and utilized HCC Career Services again when he attended an in-person interview session with Foxconn held on Sept. 4, 2025 and was subsequently hired as a Quality Electronics Engineer.
His story is a powerful reminder that utilizing the available services and investing in a technical education can lead to immediate, life-changing career opportunities.
