Drywall Installation and Repair
This fast-track program covers basics of carpentry maintenance, specific to construction, how to apply the first coat, taping and sanding, pre-filling, beading, coating, and sanding of finishes. Includes common drywall materials for drywall repair; caulking, sealing, and weather-stripping; and on-the-job safety with hand and power tools.
The course is designed to provide hands-on experience in drywall installation, including rig drywall on frames, ceilings, apply moldings, cover seams between drywall sheets and pieces, patching and applying ceiling texture. It also focuses on preparing students for safe use of hand and power tools. Students learn and practice how to install drywall safely, apply primer and finish, and clean using the techniques.

Upon successful completion of the program students will receive ‘HCC-Certification of Completion.
