Dr. Frances Villagran-Glover Welcome to Houston City College Southeast — a place where education, opportunity, and community come together.

As a first-generation college graduate, I know firsthand how education can transform lives and open doors that once felt out of reach. That’s why at HCC Southeast, our mission is deeply personal. We are dedicated to empowering students and families right here in Houston’s East End, a proud and resilient community with extraordinary potential.

Our two campuses — Eastside and Felix Fraga — are vibrant spaces designed to help every student thrive.

At our Eastside Campus, students enjoy a full college experience with high-quality academic programs, workforce training, and continuing education opportunities. Our Student Life Center offers a gym, theater, and Eagle Food Market, ensuring that basic needs are met so students can stay focused on their goals.

At our Felix Fraga Campus, the Fraga Academic and STEM Buildings provide cutting-edge spaces for exploration, including a telescope, Apple lab, and makerspace. We are also proud to host the HCC–University of Houston Engineering Academy, a partnership that allows students to begin their engineering journey close to home while building a pathway to a four-year degree.

Houston City College Southeast remains committed to providing our community with a diverse range of academic and workforce programs. As the home to nationally recognized Centers of Excellence in Material Science, Business, Logistics Global Supply Chain Management, and Education Professions, we provide career-focused learning that equips students with the skills needed for in-demand careers across Houston and beyond.

Our Health Sciences programs include Biology – Health Sciences, Pharmacy Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Phlebotomy, Patient Care Technician, and EKG Technician. Students interested in engineering can begin their journey through our Engineering Science program.

In Consumer Arts and Sciences, we offer programs such as Cosmetology, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Real Estate, Logistics and Supply Chain, Forklift Operator training, Paralegal Technology, Translation and Interpretation, and Business Technology.

Our Construction and Manufacturing programs provide hands-on training in welding technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), non-destructive testing (NDT), carpentry, plumbing, electrical technology, and industrial maintenance.

In addition, our Education Professions programs—including Early Childhood Development, the Associate of Arts in Teaching, and Alternative Teacher Certification—prepare future educators to serve our communities.

Across both campuses, students have access to the latest technology and support through our Digital Access Labs, XR Lab Makerspace, Tutoring Center, and Library. These resources — paired with our Centers of Excellence — prepare our students for in-demand careers through hands-on, real-world learning.
