Medical Assistant - Medical Scribe - Certificate Level 1

The Medical Scribe certificate trains individuals to enter information into the electronic medical record at the direction of a physician or practitioner; charting in real time as the provider assesses and examines the patient. The scribe will ease documentation for physicians and allow them to focus on the care of the patient thus increasing the productivity and patient satisfaction in the medical office. The following courses are required prerequisites prior to enrollment; HPRS 1201 Introduction to Health Professions, MDCA 1213 Medical Terminology, ITSC 1309 Integrated Software Applications I. (7 credit hours total)
