What we do
Each division of the department, Community Development, Public & Media Relations, HCCTV, Print & E-Media and marketing works together, using their resources to empower stakeholders in the college to “tell the story” about the college’s initiatives, programs and messages through a customized communication model that effectively delivers their message.

Faculty, staff and students from all HCC campuses are invited to attend a panel discussion on student homelessness 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 21, in Room 101 of HCC Central's Learning Hub Science Bldg., 1300 Holman St., in Houston's Midtown area.

The HCC Foundation presented a check in the amount of $342,210 for Retention Completion Scholarships to Houston Community College at the HCC Board of Trustees meeting held on February 6.

It’s not uncommon for a child to want to grow up and become an astronaut. It’s an admirable and romanticized goal to have that desire to “slip the surly bonds of earth” and fly into space, but it takes more than desire. There’s a lot of study and discipline that goes into that profession, as well as any of the many careers associated with space exploration.

Pending approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), HCC plans to close the Pinemont Campus when the current lease expires in August 2019. Appropriate plans are being put in place to ensure a smooth transition for the community, students, faculty and staff.

HCC Central will soon help students, faculty and staff produce digital assignments that will enhance the learning process through its One Button Studio, a simplified video recording space that can be used without any previous production knowledge.

The HCC Chapter of the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor society is pleased to announce the induction of six new students into the Honor Society during the Fall of 2018 semester. In addition, congratulations to Eliu Perez, Jr. and Benjamin Ilboudo for their election as president and vice president, respectively.
