Irma Diaz-Gonzalez is President and CEO of Employment & Training Centers, Inc (ETC). Established in 1986, ETC helps companies meet their human resource needs through talent acquisition and employee retention strategies.  Flexible, adaptable, and responsive in her approach and interactions with others, she is known for motivating teams to meet and exceed performance expectations, often outperforming the competition. 

Ms. Diaz-Gonzalez began her workforce development career as an Employment Counselor while attending college and working for the Illinois Migrant Council, an agency that assists migrant and seasonal farm workers find permanent employment. She relocated to Houston in 1982 and worked for the City of Houston managing their Youth Employment and Training Program, an initiative that placed more than 10,000 young people in jobs every year.

She has served on boards and committees that focus on workforce, economic development, and the future outlook and growth of Houston.

She serves on various boards, including Baker Ripley, the Port of Houston Authority’s Advisory Council and Memorial Hermann’s Children Hospital. She also serves on Amegy Bank’s Advisory Board and is Chairman Emeritus of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  She has been widely recognized for her work and community service in Illinois and Texas.

She attended Black Hawk College in Moline, IL, the University of Coahuila in Mexico, and graduated from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Business’ Executive Education Program and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business for Latino Entrepreneurs.
