AAMA’s mission is to inspire and empower at-risk Latinos to pursue their potential and achieve success. Its efforts are focused in the areas of education, workforce readiness and leadership development. 

For more than four decades, AAMA has been one of the most effective organizations in the country at helping Latino families to become productive members of society. With the vision, leadership and support of its founders, volunteers, and financial contributors, AAMA has created a long history of amazing achievements and continues to build on that legacy.

AAMA is a member of the Houston Literacy Consortium led by Houston Community College.

Adult Education classes at AAMA including English as-a-Second Language are supported financially through grant funding from the Gulf Coast Workforce Development Board and are part of the Workforce Solutions system.
