Bookstore Credit
Bookstore credit allows students to purchase books and supplies from there local Houston Community College Campus Bookstore. These charges are applied to their student account.
Who is eligible for Bookstore Credit?
Students who have been awarded grants that exceed their total college charges are eligible for bookstore credit. These charges, accrued from books and supplies for registered courses, are capped at $1,400.00 per semester.
How Do I use my Bookstore Credit?
Students who have been awarded financial aid and their grant and/or scholarships exceed their total college charges for the current semester should:
- Select the textbook(s) and supplies required for enrolled classes.
- Take the selected material(s) to any Houston Community College bookstore sales associate.
- Present your photo ID, let the associate know that you have been awarded financial aid, and complete your purchase.
Students who have an incomplete file or who have not been awarded financial aid should visit their nearest Financial Aid Office to see if book funds are available.
*Bookstore credit cannot be used to purchase clothing, IPods, cups, food items, games, DVDs, electronic items, video games, home appliances, gift cards, greeting cards, frames, calendars, cosmetics, fragrances, class rings, domestic or anything not required for your enrolled classes.
