Preview and Adopt Blackboard Vista Online Master Courses

To preview or utilize a Blackboard online master course, go to the HCC Blackboard web site: http://hccs.blackboard.com and type in the same User ID and Password used to access all password protected DE faculty web pages.

Note: If you don't know the DE faculty ID and password, contact your college IDC (see list below).

How to Adopt a Master Course Template:

  • Log in to your Blackboard Vista account
  • Go to Administration tab
  • Click Create Section
  • Type the course name in the Title box
  • Select Assign Template and click Select Template
  • A window will pop up with all the templates at institutional level
  • Select the master course template you intend to adopt, then click Select

How to Reset an Existing Course and Assign a Master Course Template to it:

If you already have a section created and now you want to assign a master course template to it, you can reset the course content and assign the template to the course:

  • Log in to your Blackboard Vista account
  • Go to Administration tab
  • Find the course you want to reset the content
  • Click on the pull down action menu by the side of the course name, and select Edit Properties
  • Under Replace Existing Content, Select Assign Template and click Select Template …
  • A window will pop up with all the templates at institutional level
  • Select the master course template you intend to adopt, then click Select
