GED & Adult Basic Education

Applicants are eligible for the Adult Education and Literacy Programs, if individuals are 18* years or older and have a general goal.

Receive your GED and prepare for a career at the same time.

HCC will co-enroll adult education students in adult education classes including English as-a-Second Language (ESL) classes along with technical semester credit hour and continuing education classes. Technical training programs selected for this project include Welder, Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation (HVAC) Technician, Computer Support Specialist and Health Information Specialist. Each of the occupations selected for training are on the High-Demand, High-Growth list of the Gulf Coast Workforce Development Board.
