A lawyer, social activist and former state representative, Yolanda Navarro Flores carefully cultivates connections between HCC and District I stakeholders with the belief that a shared vision is the key to both student success and community building. (District I) - Bruce A. Austin
Bruce A. Austin is a native Houstonian from the Fifth Ward, where he attended Wheatley High School. Elected to the HCC Board of Trustees in 1989, Mr. Austin was chairman from 1990 to 1992 and again from 2000 to 2002. He served as deputy secretary of the Board in 2006.
