Academic Software/Courseware Site License Coordination
The Instructional Media Center (IMC) coordinates the academic software/courseware purchases used by multiple disciplines and/or programs. Software/courseware that is used at one or several colleges (but not all) is approved and purchased by the individual college(s).
System-wide site licenses for academic software/courseware used by all disciplines/programs is coordinated through IMC (excluding grant funded purchases) and budgeted through the System or through the College Presidents Council (using Student Tech Fees).
Site licenses for Workforce courseware are budgeted at the college level through the Hub program.
If disciplines/program chairs decide that the software/courseware is an integral part of curriculum at all colleges, then it is a candidate for a system-wide site license.
The program/department chairs at all colleges must agree to use the software and sign the form.
The Site License Request Form (PDF) should be completed by the Discipline Chair, signed by the Department Chairs, and sent to Dr. Charles Cook, MC 1112 and a copy to Dr. David Diehl (MC 1124) to present at the Dean's Council for review and the Presidents Council for funding.
