What is pre-service?

Pre-service consists of six (6) hours of training that must be completed before new staff members begin work in Adult Education. Pre-service includes a 4-hour orientation provided by the HCCS Professional Development Department, followed by a 2-hour observation (for HCCS staff) or an on-site observation or orientation (for Community Partners)Pre-service Orientation Schedule

Who should attend pre-service?

Pre-service is required of all staff new to Adult Education. This includes directors, teachers, teacher aides, counselors, supervisors, and assessment personnel. Staff with strictly clerical duties and janitorial staff are not required to attend pre-service.
