Adult Education Programs
The AEP provides ESL, GED and Adult High School instruction to more than 15,000 students. Also, a teacher certification program (ATCP) enables working professionals to transition to classroom teaching.

Alternative Teacher Certification
The Accelerated Teacher Certification Program at Houston Community College is a state-approved comprehensive educator preparation program that train individuals for Texas standard certification in elementary and secondary education.

Apprenticeship Program
HCC operates this program in partnership with the Apprenticeship Training Association of Texas. It is a 3-5 year job training system for skilled trade and craft workers including pipefitters, iron workers, electricians and plumbers.

Center for Healthcare Professionals
The CHP provides quality accessible continuing education opportunities in support of the ongoing competency development and maintenance of credentials for healthcare professionals.

School of Continuing Education
The School delivers short-term certificate programs in seven instructional areas—business, information technology, health care, languages, construction/trades, transportation, and public safety (police, fire, emergency services).

Corporate College
This industry-focused unit provides leading-edge training in business and technology, customer service, languages and other areas to such companies as Goodman Manufacturing, Halliburton, Capital One and MD Anderson.

Corrections Program 
This nationally-accredited program is offered in partnership with Harris County Sherriff’s Office and provides GED and marketable skills training and certificates to more than 3,500 inmates each year.
