Private Scholarships
Private scholarships for college students are offered each year by a variety of companies and non-profit organizations.
What is required?
The donor will need to send a cover letter and scholarship check to:

ATTN: Head Cashier
3100 Main St., 11th Floor
Houston, Texas 77002
Please include the following information:
- the recipient's name
- student ID number
- social security number
- award period
- and any restrictions*
If the donor does not send the check to the head cashier, the process of your scholarship application will be delayed. Checks for private scholarships should NOT be sent to the Houston Community College Scholarship Foundation or to your local Houston Community College Campus.
Once all documents have been received, the Head Cashier will forward the students documents to the Financial Aid Processing Center.

Please Note: Restriction may include the number of required course load; whether the scholarship covers books in addition to tuition and fees; the student is allowed to receive a balance check for the unused portion of the funds.
