Function

The Department of Teaching and Learning Resources (TLR) is comprised of the following:

  • Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence (CTLE)
  • Instructional Leaders Institute (ILI)
  • Instructional Media Center (IMC)

The Department of TLR is critical to fulfilling HCC’s vision by engaging faculty to create quality, unique, and innovative course delivery and teaching practices that prepare students to think critically, learn deeply, and act globally.  In addition, the TLR provides essential instructional leadership training that prepares department/program chairs for effective leadership, management, and service.  Also, the TLR offers numerous programs and support district-wide in support of its internal customers (personnel of divisions, departments, programs, and personnel) that results in their effective and efficient service to HCC students.
