Corporate College — This industry-focused unit provides leading-edge training in business and technology, customer service, languages and other areas to such companies as Goodman Manufacturing, Halliburton, Capital One and MD Anderson.

Correctional Education — This nationally-accredited pro-gram is offered in partnership with Harris County Sherriff’s Office and provides GED and marketable skills training and certificates to more than 3,500 inmates
each year.

School of Continuing Education — The School delivers short-term certificate programs in seven instructional areas—business, information technology, health care, languages, construction/trades, transportation, and public safety (police, fire, emergency services).

Function

The Division of Extended Learning is responsible for all non-credit instruction at HCC. Instruction is delivered on various campuses, through community partners and corporations, and on-line. A student can earn a GED or dozens of certifications or training in areas such as health care, computers and public safety. We seek all individuals who want to improve the quality of their lives: We “take people where we find them and help them go as far as they can.”
