CERT - Community Emergency Response Team training

The Community Emergency Response Team training program is a 24-hour course, one evening per week over an 8-week period. Classes are free and open to the public, so invite your friends, family and neighbors.

Training sessions cover disaster preparedness, fire suppression, basic disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, disaster psychology, team organization and a module on terrorism. Training concludes with a disaster simulation in which participants utilize skills learned throughout the course.

Schedule

  • April 13-June 1 Coldwell Campus, 555 Community College Drive, Learning Hub 202, Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm
  • May 25-July 13, Northline Campus, 8001 Fulton, Community Room, Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm,
  • June 10-July 29 Eastside Campus, Angela Morales Building, Lecture Hall, Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm
  • September 18-November 6, Spring Branch Campus, 1010 W. Sam Houston Parkway, N., Eagle Room, Saturday mornings from 9:00-12:00pm
