Personal Home Defense
Personal Home Defense - Course CJLE 1023
This is an eight-hour course taught by Public Safety Institute Training Instructors consisting of part classroom for the first half and shooting range application for the last half. Instruction will include basic shooting skills, personal home safety, Texas law regarding weapons and self-defense, weapon and ammunition selection, and weapon practice. Participants must be law abiding, adults (at least 21 years old), and no criminal record and hold a current Texas Drivers License.

Payment made on first day of class.
Bring the Required Items:
- Payment to HCCS in check, money order, or cash
- 250 rounds of .22 long rifle ammunition
- Baseball type cap
- Your personal weapon if you own one (not required)
- Range type clothing (may get weapon cleaning items clothing)
- Tennis or running type shoes (no sandals, open toe shoes, high heels, etc.)
- Class starts at 8:00 A.M.
- ID (Texas Drivers License) & weapons will be checked at the door
- Do Not bring loaded weapons into the building
- Do Not wear jewelry during training
