Students will learn to:
- Understand the spoken and written Spanish language of daily life for introductions and greetings
- Communicate orally and in writing personal information
- Understand the cultures and civic expectations of their workplace environments using the Spanish language
These Spanish courses present introductory levels of the Spanish language for non-Spanish speakers. Oral skills and conversational fluency are emphasized in everyday communication. The instruction includes vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and writing exercises for practice. The introductory level courses are designed for the adult learner who has had very little or no exposure to the Spanish language.
These are 36-hour, instructor-guided courses with 12 hours of online assignments via WileyPLUS. Students will complete class work and online homework to practice spoken and written Spanish. The student must express the willingness to learn and practice the Spanish language in class, online, and in other environments. Each course builds on preceding courses for language learning success.
