Home Health Aide

The Home Health Aide course is for the certified nurse aide who will be trained to provide personal care and other services as needed in the client's home under the direction, instruction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

The course consists of classroom/lab and practicum experience under the direction of a qualified licensed nurse instructor. The classroom/lab portion of the course will be 32 hours and the practicum will be 16 hours.  Course offerings vary by semester.

Licensure/Certification:  Home Health Aide Certificate

Length of Certificate:  48 course contact hours

Prerequisites:  Certified Nurse Aide

Coursework: HOMH 1005 - Home Health Aide,  48 hrs
