Overview of the social, mental, and physical changes that accompany aging and an overview of the implications of these changes for the individual, as well as for the larger society. Discussion regarding the biological theories of aging, physical changes in specific systems and changes in sensation/perception with age. The program provides a general profile of the older person in our society, including values, ageism and society's responses to the elderly.
