Financial Aid Available

Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) funds will be available for qualified students enrolled in eligible Marketable Skills Awards (MSA) Certificate programs. The TPEG is a grant designed to help Texas resident students cover his/her tuition, fees, when these expenses exceed the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) reported on their Student Aid Report.

TPEG is available on a first come, first served basis until college available funds are spent.
All necessary paperwork must be completed and processed before registration.

How to Apply

Complete the TPEG/CE Application.
Complete HCC application with Career Type – CEU and CE MSA Program.
Apply for a PIN to submit your financial aid application online http://www.pin.ed.gov (if this is your first time applying for financial aid).
Complete a free Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Submit any additional documentation if selected for verification.
Bring copies of SAR (Student Aid Report) and additional documentation if selected for verification. (If you are not sure if you have been selected please contact the financial aid associate).
Register for CE MSA eligible program
- Wait for an Award notification via e-mail.
- Accept Award on HCC Self Service site: HCCS Student System .
Coordinate start date with CE Staff or Program manager.
