Financial Aid Available

Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) funds will be available for qualified students enrolled in eligible Marketable Skills Awards (MSA) Certificate programs.  The TPEG is a grant designed to help Texas resident students cover his/her tuition, fees, when these expenses exceed the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) reported on their Student Aid Report.

• TPEG is available on a first come, first served basis until college available funds are spent.
• All necessary paperwork must be completed and processed before registration.
• Student must show satisfactory academic progress at the time of application.

How to Apply

1. Complete HCC application with Career Type – CEU and CE MSA Program
2. Apply for a PIN to submit your financial aid application online http://www.pin.ed.gov
3. Complete a free Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
   • Use the Worksheet before completing form.  Documents needed :
     Drivers license
     SS #
     Income Tax Returns (1040’s)
4. Bring copies of ESAR and additional documentation if selected for verification
5. Register for CE MSA eligible program
   • Wait for EFAN
   • Accept Award on HCC Self Service site
6. Coordinate start date with CE Staff or Program manager
