OSHA Construction Safety Outreach 10-Hour Training
The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of training on Construction Safety and Health to those seeking entry level work. This class is an entry level review of OSHA Regulations for Construction (29CFR1926). The objectives will include hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention with less emphasis on OSHA standards. This course is designed so that it can be customized to meet the interests and objectives of the course participants. In this course:
- Students will review OSHA Act/General Duty Clause 5(a)(1), General Safety and Health Provisions, Competent Person, Subpart C
- Record Keeping (CFR Part 1904)
- Students will review other OSHA provisions including Electrical (Subpart K) and Fall Protection (Subpart M) as Required Course Topics
Other requirements include selecting at least 3 topics to make up 3 hours. The list includes Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal (Subpart H), Personal Protective and Life Saving Equipment Subpart E), Tools-Hand and Power (Subpart I), Scaffold (Subpart L), Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, and Conveyors (Subpart N), Excavation (Subpart P) and Stairs and Ladders (Subpart X)
