Green Technician Certificate Program

The Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) survey conducted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) provides information about Weatherization Technicians and Energy Auditors and list these areas as new and emerging (N&E) occupations. Both occupations involves the construction industry, weatherization technicians monitor construction methods and materials for energy conservation, whereas the Energy Auditors rates existing facilities for energy efficiency. The courses prepare students to work in the area of Green-Collar jobs.

Certification:
*Courses meet requirements for the National Center for Construction Education and Research 
certification.

Prerequisites:
High School Diploma of equivalent

*CNBT 1091 Introduction to Green Environment 15 hrs
*HART 1092 Residential Weatherization 8 hrs
 HART 1053 Energy Audit 64 hrs
Total   161 hrs
