Business Concurrent Classes
Learn for the sake of learning! Concurrent classes afford you the classroom experience of an academic class without the stress of an academic grade or credit. The following classes are offered concurrently to help you hone your business skills.
- Introduction to Business Logistics- This course will cover both strategic as well as operational issues in supply chain and logistics management.
- Principles of Exports- Learn export policies, procedures, and programs related to global sourcing, negotiation, pricing, financing, international bidding and logistics distribution.
Global Supply Chain Management- Learn the nature of international challenges associated with procurement, operations management, inventory control, logistics, transportation distribution, and customer service.
- Principles of Purchasing- Learn the purchasing process as it relates to such topics as inventory control, price determination, vendor selection, negotiation techniques, and ethical issues.
- Principles of Imports -Learn to implement strategies to economize the integration between divisions in an organization while exploring the concept of supply chain management and its various elements.
- International Management Marketing- Analysis of international marketing strategies using market trends, costs, forecasting, pricing, sourcing, and distribution factors. Development of an international export/import marketing plan.
- Internal Control and Auditing- This course is a study of internal control and auditing standards and processing used by internal auditors, managers, and independent accountants.
- Business Math and Machine Applications- This course reviews basic mathematical operations and presents typical business applications while offering instruction and practice in the proper use of electronic calculating equipment.
- Intermediate Keyboarding- A continuation of keyboarding skills in document formatting, speed, and accuracy. Emphasis on proofreading, editing, following instructions, and keying documents from various copy.
- Marketing Principles and Practices- The course has been designed to provide an overview of basic marketing principles and practices. This course includes discussion on the marketing mix, identifying customer needs and wants, determining target markets, and creating appropriate products, services and programs to serve these markets.
