Scope of Service
This scope of service covers the requirements for the contractor to furnish all resources (labor, equipment, supplies, transportation, etc.) and products necessary to provide coffee and water services at various facilities of Houston Community College (HCC).
Coffee and water services shall include the supply, delivery and setup and/or installation of coffee and water-dispensing equipment. All equipment shall be in a new and unused condition, and shall include, but is not limited to, three-station pour through automatic coffee brewers and appropriate water dispensing equipment.
The contractor shall also supply and deliver coffee and water products. Such supplies and products shall include, but is not limited to, regular and decaffeinated coffee, coffee filters, cream, sugar, sugar substitute, styrofoam cups, stir sticks, tea, hot chocolate and drinking water.
Equipment Requirements
The contractor shall supply at a minimum, the following equipment items at the various facilities:
- Three-station, pour-through automatic coffee brewer with the following minimum requirements:
- Pour-through opening with cover
- Electrical: 110-120 volts, A.C. 60 Hz.
- Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listed
- Three coffee decanters (for each coffee brewer station), compatible with the automatic coffee brewer station, 10-12 cup capacity, and label as follows:
- Regular coffee (2 each)
- Decaffeinated coffee (1 each)

Maintenance
The contractor shall perform any preventive maintenance or take any remedial actions needed to maintain the operation of the automatic coffee brewer stations. The contractor shall also clean or replace stained or dirty decanters on a monthly basis. Any defective automatic coffee brewer station(s) shall be repaired within 8 working hours after the contractor is notified of such. If repairs cannot be completed within 8 working hours, the contractor shall replace the automatic coffee brewer station(s) with an operational replacement unit.
